(1) The Big Iron Museum collection was started almost 10 years ago by the acquisition of a selection of 1:87 scale and 1:50 scale tower cranes in both flat top, slewing and self erecting versions. The total tower crane collection, most of which is displayed, includes many variations and options.
(2) Displayed on this shelf is a diorama of headquarters yard of the ALL Erection Company in Independence Ohio. The backdrop is an enlarged 180 degree photo of the ALL yard and we have placed various crane models and rigging tools painted in ALL erection livery in front of the photo.

(3) Various 1:50 scale models of high lift capacity cranes with various heavy loads in the process of being lifted
(4) A group of 1:87 scale cranes, mining shovels, tower cranes and trucks.

(5) A group of lattice boom crawler cranes and hydraulic truck cranes in 1:50 scale plus a 1:32 scale model of a Bucyrus-Erie steam powered railroad wreck crane with 250 ton lift capacity and idler car

(6) Displayed on this shelf is a 1:50 scale group of both lattice boom crawler cranes and hydraulic truck cranes all painted in Mammoet livery.
The highlight of this display is a highly detailed customized Liebherr CC8800 crawler crane with a maximum lift capacity of 1300 tons. Please note the pins connecting the boom section and the actual pin placed next to the crane. Although it is not yet complete this amazing model was painted and customized by Curtis Carpenter (Turtle Models).
